It was with shock and sadness that FIM AFRICA learnt of the passing on of Ray Wilson, President of the CONU on Saturday 17th June 2017 after a short illness.

Ray’s time with AMU then FIM AFRICA started out as a member of the Cross Country Commission and in 2010 he was elected VP Sporting. He served as VP Sporting (South) until his election as President of the CONU in 2015.

Ray’s passion for motorcycling is evident in that he has not only been involved in the sporting side but also in leisure riding as well as social riding and ran a motorcycle dealership.

FIM AFRICA offers our sincerest condolences to Julie and the family, Ray served our sport with passion and enthusiasm and he will be missed.

Rest in peace Ray, May God Bless You.

It's with great sadness that I write this, you will be sadly missed by everyone that rode enduros in Zambia. Through all the years of support and encouragement and dedication that you have given to us all, from seeing our dreams to race far and wide across Africa. We thank you! Until we ride again my friend, may you rest in peace
