It has indeed been a busy few weeks for the Monroe Racing team to start their 2018 motorsport season. Sunday, March 4 will see Zoé Bosch taking the centre stage when she starts her campaign in the Zimbabwean National Superbike Championship at the Donnybrook Raceway just outside Harare.
This will be Bosch’s second visit to South Africa’s northern neighbouring country. During October 2017 Bosch made a successful debut at the same venue. The aim in 2018 will be for her to compete in a full season. Bosch’s confirmed entry will be on the Kawasaki ZX-6 while the team have an option of fielding her in a second race as well. This should be confirmed during the course of the weekend.
The team will embark on their journey during the early morning hours on Thursday, March 1. Their first stop will be the city of Bulawayo where they’ll meet up with the Fuchs Lubricants Zimbabwe team. As a group they’ll travel from here to Harare. The initial Itinerary in Harare will include activations with both Fuchs Lubricants Zimbabwe as well as the local Toyota dealer network. On Saturday the team’s focus will shift to the circuit with official practice sessions ahead of Sunday’s race day.
Zoé Bosch – Rider, Monroe Racing:
“Following my previous visit I’m really looking forward to this weekend. It will be a fun-filled weekend with lots of hard work expected from all of us. I’m aiming to end it with a strong result while representing the team and our sponsors.”
Vic Rich – Team Manager, Monroe Racing:
We always enjoy travelling to Zimbabwe. The hospitality is unrivalled to compliment the high standard of racing that we can expect. With all of us travelling together, the road trip will also be a great time for team building. We’ve always had great support in the country as well and we’d like to extend an invitation to everyone to join in the action on Sunday.”
The Monroe Racing team would sincerely like to thank the following sponsors for making the weekend possible: Monroe South Africa, Fuchs Lubricants South Africa, Fuchs Lubricants Zimbabwe, OneX South Africa, RICH Training Solutions, Banff Lodge, Better Drive and Yoshimura.
