Kirsten Landman has officially started the qualifying process for the 2020 Dakar Rally. With a dream to become the first African woman to finish the iconic event, Landman has flown to Morocco to race the Merzouga Rally. The event takes place from 1-5 April, and all Landman needs to do is finish if she wants to secure a ticket to the Dakar next year.

After a string of second places, Aleix Viu would not be denied his victory on Sunday at the Red Bull Ring. An incredible final lap of Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup action on the KTM RC 250 Rs saw the 15-year-old Spaniard respond to attacks by Ayumu Sasaki and Marc Garcia and lead them across the line to claim his second win of the year.

Teams are feeling the pressure after the second set of tests in Japan, where the favourites jockeyed for an advantage over the competition. 2015 winner Yamaha Factory Racing Team settled into the top spot, ahead of Team Kagayama and Musashi RT Harc-Pro, while F.C.C.
