JOHANNESBURG 2018 – Amidst excitement and massive anticipation, Round 6 of the TRP Distributors SA MX National Championship returns to Phakisa MX in Welkom on 8 September after a long absence. The track which is located next to the main circuit is set to offer some exciting racing with its loamy soil and large jumps.
The question on everyone’s minds will be whether or not some Championships will be wrapped up at this penultimate round. Whilst there are some small leads in several classes which could result in just that, nothing is certain at this stage and very few competitors will come into this with a real advantage of calling Phakisa their home track.
What we can be sure of is that with only two rounds left, everything will be on the line to get valuable points heading into the final and the Welkom fans will be in for a real treat as they watch the best in SA battle it out. Competitors from as far as Zambia and Zimbabwe will also be in attendance.
The track is situated on R70 in Welkom. The road to the track is past the entrance to the main circuit. The event takes place on Saturday 8th September and practice kicks off at 8am with racing taking place from 10am. Entrance is R60 per adult and free for kids of 12 years and under. There is full catering on site so come enjoy a great day of racing with us!
